At present there are many women who for various reasons (such as age, hereditary genetic diseases, previous surgeries, etc.) cannot conceive, because their ovary loses the ability to produce healthy eggs, which are essential for a successful pregnancy. In these situations, receiving eggs is the only way to become a mother. Being a donor means expressing solidarity with women who are having trouble in conceiving and helping them fulfill their dream of having a child.
If you are interested in becoming an egg donor, you must satisfy the following requirements tobe eligible for the program:
- Be between 18-30 years of age
- Have a normal height to weight ratio
- Are physically and emotionally healthy
- Be a non-smoker, non-drug user
- Have normal reproductive organs
- Have regular periods
- Have a normal genetic history
- Have a family history without genetically transmitted diseases
- Have negative test results for the following sexually transmitted diseases: AIDS, Hepatitis Band C, Syphilis, Herpes clinical study.
Our medical team will conduct a study to know your health and fertility status. Through a vaginal ultrasound, antral follicles will be counted and the presence of cysts, myomas or any alteration of the reproductive system will be ruled out.
Once the gynecological study is completed, a psychological examination will be performed. The psychologist will conduct an interview and will propose various specific psychological tests to evaluate if you are prepared for the egg donation process.
A complete blood test will be performed to determine your blood group, check that all parameters are normal and verify that there are no infectious or contagious diseases. In addition, from a blood sample, a chromosomal study will be carried out to rule out possible alterations that may influence the off spring of the egg recipients.
All the results of the tests will be communicated, in this way you can also know the status of your fertility.
